Strengthen sandpaper on back with sellotape / packaging tape, then cut into narrow strips. Put one end in your saw frame, thread your ring or v-shape piece through the sandpaper and clamp the sandpaper end into the saw frame.
This method makes sanding of inside areas and grooves much easier.
